Google+ already does something something similar, but not exactly. Ideas are obvious, implementation is everything. This product may or may not be a better implementation, and worth paying for. Inventors of advanced camera algorithms tend t

I don't understand why otherwise savvy techy people ate so Luddite about vertical video. Adding an extra 200% of worthless landscape to a video of a person is an ancient plague that smartphones provided a cure for.

The important distinction is congestion. Users should pay auction prices for contested resources (how much someone else would have to pay to get access). Windfall gains should then be used for general welfare spending for the community (may

Forcing people to waste time is just wasteful. Everyone should pay, and certain desrving people (however that is decided) can get financial support or nontransferable credits (bit these have practical challenges)

It's not complicated. Uber charges more, so drivers are happy. If you offerd a cabbie a big tip, he would happily accept credit. Uber gives the benefit of pre-setting the higher rate without negotiating. But many people prefer to pay l

Interestingly, the supporting claim about rich people consuming not much more than poor people, is massively less true now than it was centuries ago.

Arbitrary weird GUI control that doesn't work on mobile and doesn't have an accessible fallback mode, even though the information content can be easily expressed with short simple text: yep.

Do you really have no idea? Do you believe in a likely lower bound for the time gap between reincarnations? And an upper bound for when the first one was? Or do you believe that both of these could be arbitrarily small (large, resp.)?

Arbitrary choice in the face of uncertainty isn't wrong though; it is an aprroxumation technique. "Room temperature" is arbitrary, but 75F is better than 100F or 0F

You are ignoring marginal cost. If surge pricing covers relatively-fixed expenses of car mainetance etc, it enables slow-business hours to be marginally profitable at a lower price than otherwise.
