I have the luxury of not needing to spray and pray. Even though recently the number has been fairly low, the PHP-tagged jobs on the monthly Who's Hiring that are open to remote would net me at least 3 or 4 jobs that interest me. Stack

Most developers won't just apply and interview at a single job. I usually interview with 3 or 4 companies when job hunting, and I would hate to have to spend a day at each.

I'm sorry, I must not have been clear enough. I meant, why someone from SF, with perfect weather, would decide to move to Phoenix of all places. Cheap land can be found in the vast majority of this country, Phoenix just seems like the

I was just in Phoenix last week after visiting the Grand Canyon. I can't imagine _why_ someone would move from the 70 F of SF to the 115 F of Phoenix. Even at midnight it's still over 90*F. This coming from someone who lives in DF

I dumped MBP after 6 years and bought a Dell XPS 9570 15" with max specs. Some slight issues on Fedora, and of course the touchpad isn't anywhere near as good as MBP, but overall very happy. Bonus: Docker _flies_ on Linux compared

I stopped watching both of those shows deep into the later seasons. However, Netflix has raw, unfiltered data directly from their customers. Keeping both of those shows running must make sense to them when taking the data into account.

A Docker or Vagrant setup to match their prod as closely as possible, for local dev purposes. It boggles my mind how many developers _still_ install PHP/MySQL/Ruby/Node/etc on their daily desktop and are surprised when s

It generates a map file when you run `composer install` and many of the several other commands. Yours is not really a critique of composer, since it's not a daemon or a continuously run script. You run it once and done.

I purchased Sugru years ago to form a small cover on the edge of my MacBook Pro's palm rest because it was uncomfortably sharp. Basically a thin line of Sugru from edge to edge. It worked well, and it's still there and functioning
