for something that scratches a similar itch, but is much more constrained and puzzle like (in a good way) try Infinifactory. It actually predates Factorio and all of the games mentioned and is very much worth playing. http://www.

I am glad switching to an IDE worked for you, but for me a well extended and configured Vim setup is the best IDE on earth. Anything an IDE can do, Vim can typically do as well given the right plugin.

Ruby used to be my primary language for many years and I used its REPL extensively in my day to day and found it immensely useful. Is Clojure's REPL different/better than the IRB and pry REPL workflow?

I spend my entire day in tmux and vim land in a Linux terminal, but as a gamer wanting to play good games, it’s windows all the way. Gaming on Linux just still isn’t there yet.
