can someone speak to the level of credibility of this site/organization? I have never heard of them before.

That is an amazing concept - hopefully this can soon become reality

Considering they are one of the most extremist and hypocritical organizations I can think of I would certainly vote a strong no on that

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a fantastic way to make a ton of friends and feel like you are part of something bigger than yourself. It’s a very “intimate” sport to begin with so forming close relationships is quite natural. The only negative is t

I really like fish and had a pretty good run using it, but I have found myself on zsh for quite a few years - it’s just less friction to go with the herd on this particular part of my toolbox

Is collision with a cyclist really a safety risk for an automobile driver? A minor ding for a car is a fatality for a cyclist

Maybe overall this is true, but in NYC there are very few lanes I’d consider truly protected - the rest are minefields and generally less safe

I agree - I also find it safer in NYC to just ride with traffic. I have had several collisions with pedestrians who decided they would just step out right in front of me into my “lane” and nearly door’d on a couple of other occasions

Git, the protocol, is not the same as GitHub, the service. Git, the protocol, is absolutely distributed. And just to repeat my point - GitHub is only a single possible node in the graph

I used to travel NYC to Boston fairly often for work and I absolutely loved the experience of taking the Acela. The problem is that it’s so expensive! This was fine when my employer was willing to pay, but I wouldn’t pay it myself (it’s usu

Sorry to detract from your main point, but how is it possible to be an anarchist and a libertarian at the same time? Those are fairly mutually exclusive based on my understanding.

Git is one of the most widely used distributed protocols on the internet. GitHub is just one node on the graph... seems like a decent use/definition to me.

It’s not obvious to me that a battery powered drill is the best tool for the job. If you are a professional doing non-trivial work sometimes the corded drill, with all its benefits, is exactly what is needed.

NYC is a variable bouquet of odors varying on the scale of “best thing you’d have ever smelled in life” to “omg did something die and crawl up my nose” all within the span of a single block. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I feel like Postgres is so powerful I could damn near build an entire web app backend with JUST Postgres (i'm only sorta kidding here). If that's standard SQL, well then I really like standard SQL :-)
