What makes it nearly impossible to fork Firefox? Mozilla already distributes an unbranded "fork" that allows unigned extensions. It's just a build flag away. What potentially shady tactics am I missing?

I don't understand why this comment is currently ranked so highly. It is based on pure conjecture, goes against what Mozilla has publicly stated, and assumes Mozilla is working in bad faith to deceptively drop add-on support.

Well BK operates in a very competitive industry, and I'm not aware of any major (or even minor) player doing something like this. I know if I was waiting in line watching other people get their food first because they can afford to pay

Off topic, but I haven't seen this discussed anywhere yet. My understanding is that font files can contain complex instruction sequences to control exactly how a font is rendered. I believe Windows implements a kernel space VM to execu

I believe the Nexus 6 is too old to get any future major updates. Last I read, they pulled the 7.1.1 update, downgrading these users to 7.0. It appears that you can still sideload 7.1 onto a Nexus 6, but will not currently receive OTA upd

This never made much sense to me. Even the capital letter W at 12 point repeated 2,560 times fills up 1 page plus another 10 lines. Maybe 2,560 bytes printed out as ones and zeros? That still seems like it would only work out to 11 pages

I wonder if this document was supplied to Juniper first, leading to the security audit that found the 2 recent vulnerabilities. Now that there are press reports of government officials saying the NSA wasn't responsible for these 2 e

And yet somehow the sins of the auto manufacturers in no way excuses the reckless behavior demonstrated in this video. It is possible that more than 1 person/entity in this story is in the wrong. Its clear you've already made up

I'm not as concerned with the Hello integration. With both features, I'd like to know more on the technical details. For Hello, I think Mozilla (but actually unsure who's servers?) is only involved in initial discovery and,

This completely captures my response as well. I run on the beta channel, so the day after 38.0 stable hit, this got rolled out the the beta channel. I checked the plugin/addon page and my user profile directory at least a dozen times

Do you have a link to this? I haven't seen anything regarding HTTPS injection. Just injection of code into javascript resources hosted by Baidu CDN, over HTTP.

It will be playing on HBO in the US Monday night. I for one am looking forward to seeing it, and will probably show it to friends via HBO Go. However, I have no idea if HBO will be showing it internationally.

The part that confuses me, and that I hope they sufficiently clarify, is that I run my (rarely used) copy of Windows in a VM. So I can move that VM from one machine to another as I upgrade my hardware. This seems to route around their &qu

Thanks, I tried searching for a launchd bug tracker but didn't find this. I'm still not sure if this is a fair comparison as we can't actually see how apple has responded to similar concerns (if any).

I've tested this on both Ubuntu 14.04 and CentOS 6.5, and they both sanitize the path variable such that this is not possible. I believe this is controlled via the secure_path setting in your /etc/sudoers file.
