You've misread. Santa is supposed to be giving the massage, but instead the woman is in the generated output. If your assumption is correct about porn having lots of women massaging men, then these outputs point to positive training wi

I do volunteer IT work for a private school. One of the TVs quit working. It would turn on, but you couldn't select any of the inputs (eg HDMI). It wouldn't work until I registered it online with a verified email address and went

I for one find constant links about the benefits without any freedom to actually discuss the trade offs incredibly tedious. I’m a scientific individual, but I don’t appreciate getting nagged. Edited to add: I find the repetition of silly de

Plus, it’s possible that the group that has comorbidities is the larger group. The “correction” could then hide the fact that encouraging people to get the vaccine will result in more people having strokes overall.

by jtbayly 4y ago
But there are a lot of curious things about vaccines, and plenty of those curious things are reasons why somebody might not be excited at the prospect of getting one.

100% of the time? I don’t think I’ve ever thought about it, but you’re right. Everybody should be wearing bike helmets all the time to protect against head injuries. Really, we should change the name “bike helmets” to something else if we w

I have a $70 ebook (Amazon Kindle) of an academic work (not a textbook) and it is practically unusable. So many problems compared to the physical book. Never again.

> If the way things are before was better, why did we end in the place we are now? There's a simple (potential) answer: market distortion through large investments that are gradually being spent down.

But how much did that cost, and how long ago was it? Have you recouped the cost yet? I ask because if it’s a 5 year payback, that’s ignoring the cost of food spoilage from your new fridge that quits after 6 years.

by jtbayly 4y ago
A broken fridge ruins lots of food, worth lots of money. A broken washing machine or dishwasher can flood your house, costing 10s of thousands of dollars. A broken dryer can burn your house down. And even if some of those aren’t common fail

We got a hand (immersion) blender. Plastic gear to the metal shaft. Stripped out. Non-repairable. Can’t find one without a plastic gear. Meanwhile, mother-in-law’s is metal and who knows how many years old, still working fine.

by jtbayly 4y ago
Is this a joke?! Are you a fridge salesman or something? You do understand that many of us would pay more for that fridge and gladly pay way more in electricity to have it perform its job reliably, right?

I’ve been singularly unimpressed with the rate my LED bulbs are failing. Definitely not even close to 10-15 years I was promised. And this is why warranties are pointless. How am I supposed to get one of these bulbs from a four-pack replace

Metal, vs plastic gears. Bigger vs tiny electric motor. Metal vs plastic moving parts in contact with the fruit. Plug-in vs battery powered. These are the things that I would place money on as the reasons the 70 year old one is still functi

I’ve never had the slightest illusion about Elon Musk or his principles. About the most I can say for him is he has said a few things I agree with over the years.

by jtbayly 4y ago
I’ve been thinking recently that Elon might actually have the hidden goal of attempting to get the US to pass legislation forbidding social media companies from doing this sort of thing.

There are a number of churches like this in the USA, yes. But before anybody freaks out too much, it's probably worth pointing out that the median church size is 75 people.
