Not saying that it’s necessarily the right choice, but it opens up contributions to code to a broader user base and making those rapid iterations that tools like fastapi allow can be pretty important when proving out a concept early on. Hor

Cool. Love Tauri. So the whole board dataset is stored in localStorage? If you get to a point where the size limitations or synchronous blocking operations are an issue might consider using IndexedDB. There is a nice higher level wrapper ar

C#/.NET are nice. Azure/Microsoft Cloud not so nice. Idk, maybe I have some bias due to familiarity, but I find the GCP admin and tools to be so much more intuitive than the Azure (and AWS too, for that matter) counterparts.

Better yet would be to have it codify the config using IAC for reproducibility.

I saw the announcement, and it looks like a cool tool. But I don't think it supports docker compose specs, which a lot of my projects use for running services (like postgres) locally when developing. And doesn't seem like there is

K8s for APIs and job processing, and CF workers for hosting sites at the edge is kind of the dream for me right now. Have you used their new-ish VPC networking to handle secure networking between the two? https://www.cloudflare.c

Yeah, I've tinkered with it when it first rolled out. The dev experience and performance left a lot to be desired. Poor visibility on the status of containers, weird phantom bugs, having to learn new platform idiosyncrasies. Just embr

Same. Really wish they had a managed k8s offering to complement it though. Some workloads just don't fit into the workers paradigm.

The number of people I’ve seen basically condoning this act is sickening. This guy had views I 100% disagree with, and wish did not have a platform to espouse them. But his children no longer have a dad in their life. That is just heartbrea

do you still use the framework's DI pattern with this approach? I have an older school .NET app I work on (still Core) sometimes and haven't gotten much experience with the minimal APIs, although it looks attractive as someone tha

That is sweet! The extent of my cluster is a few Pis that talk to the Mac Mini over the LAN for inference stuff, that I could definitely use some headroom on. I tried to integrate it into the cluster directly by running k3s in colima - but

The clunkiness of the software is a feature to me. I don't want my watch to have the slickest apps, I want it to be pretty utilitarian, rugged and functional. My Instinct Crossover is pretty perfect for that. The only thing that I thin

How does this make sense? SPAs have notoriously large bundles shipped to the client. Maybe in a PWA where the service worker gets saved for offline use. Traditional server-rendered HTML should be orders of magnitude faster than most SPA bun
