How is this different from the stick-n-find or tod devices recently launched through Kickstarter?

Wondering how they are printing these. Not aware of a plastic printer that can do that kind of color - are these hand painted afterwards, or come off the machine looking like that?

From the video, seems like this was a really tough crowd. Every other video I've seen with her speaking had people laughing and enjoying themselves.

The iPad was lifted (and traced) on Jan 24... why nearly 3 months to charge him? I'd think that if my iPad was stolen and I could use the "find my device" feature to track it to a location, that would count as probable cause for a search. A

This describes the kind of place I want to work. Employees want to be there for crazy hours because it's such a fun environment, and employers push back to prevent burnout.

I wish there were more technical details - the engineering behind building something designed to last 10k years would make for a great article.

A friend recently told me he would no longer pursue his personal original ideas, but rather find a recent YC company whose idea he could get behind and create a clone. It feels a little dirty, but the idea of tackling a problem vetted by YC

AWS definitely down, at least for US-east-1a US-east-1d. Several servers unresponsive. Support tickets submitted, but their dashboard still shows clean.

I'm not worried. According to the scanned test log, the radiation level was 0.0. Everyone knows that 10 times that is still zero, so we're safe.

Little misleading... it says "throw away your fax machine" but has no support for receiving faxes. I'd love to use a service like this, even at $1.99 per fax, but without receive support (so sad that companies sign first and want to fax to

Just the opposite - I hope it's not! Even assuming current processing capability growth rates continue, it's unlikely I'll live to see a complete modeling of the human brain (an emulation approach to AI). There's always the possibility some

Their website is very slow responding, so maybe something isn't loaded, but I can't seem to find a trial download. The movie is nice, however for productivity software, unless I can try it for a day or two I'll never purchase.

Airbnb for cars. Very cool idea, but some concerns: I assume the car is unlocked via a cellular uplink, rather than connecting as a local hotspot over wifi or bluetooth (since you can track the car online). What happens when it's in a garag

Does anyone know if this can be used effectively for power naps throughout the day? I'd love to nap, but tend to sleep for an hour plus. If I set a traditional alarm, I always feel like I'm jarred awake and a little off for the next hour or
