Very clever! My main issue with Wordle is that it feels like it's largely a question of chance, but this one feels like there's a lot more strategy involved.

> This new technique doesn’t just recycle materials; it recovers most of them at an unbelievable rate. This isn't just an LLMism, it's a painfully redundant phrase. Not much worth me reading forward if even the authors weren&#x

Just wanted to say that the plots are so nice. They perfectly balance visual noise and information density, _and_ they're aesthetically pleasing.

Does anyone else also feel... uneasy, bothered, it's hard to express the feeling, by LQIPs? Primarily those that are blurry, my brain wants to figure out what the picture is, even before I recognize it's an LQIP, which is strainin

I'm sorry but what on earth is going on with that bar chart, the bars are not consistent. E.g., in the frontierscience-olympiad chart Hy3 preview scores the same as DeepSeek (70.0) but Hy3 preview's bar is visibly lower.

The honest takeaway: this is 100% written by an LLM.

Your anecdote just illustrates that their system detects legit uses as abuses, not that they have a system that effectively detects abuses.

Any other researchers paranoid of using LLMs for fear of them using your data and front running your publications/work? Or incorporating it in training data and then spitting it out to a competing lab?

I wonder if there would be merit to requiring that government investment must come with shares in the company at market rate. Because short of that it feels like a misappropriation of funds.

I've long considered getting a netbook, slapping freedos on it and running WordStar or WordPerfect as a writing deck. I'm not sure how I would get my files I create off the device since USB support isn't really a thing.
