It'll probably be fixed in a week or two at most and you'll forget it ever happened except when recounting stories of the good ole days of technology 20 years from now.

Most iOS updates are smooth and trouble free. Still the far best mobile platform in terms of actually receiving software updates and new features. In the case of iOS 11 I would guess all the software changes required for the iPhone X has ca

The old version of Disk Utility must have been pretty nasty to justify a full rewrite. I remember it getting quite unreliable at some point around 10.7 when with reading/writing disk images. Partly because the UI relied on non-obvious

Gnome and KDE both still make me want to puke up blood but I would agree there will come a point in the not too distant future where Apple's going to have to look at cutting Mac prices. I mostly buy second hand these days just because

The accessibility options do help some but I don't know of anyway to increase the font size. It become a weird mix of fonts that are either way too big or way too small. I use RDM to switch between different scaled resolutions dependin

That would just delay the problems getting fixed though. IIRC you can pass the installer a flag to skip APFS conversion.

I wish they'd spend some time testing font sizes in macOS. I'm either going blind or the font sizes on macOS, especially things like tab titles, are getting harder to read.

I have a nasty old drip coffee machine (the type you find in hotels, very high milage) sitting next to my fancy espresso machine at home exactly to make this type of coffee. I love all of god's coffee children.

Coffee is a dairy / flavor delivery platform for a lot of people. I don't think even the best vending machines can't compete with the selection of creamers and flavors a coffeeshop has to offer. There's also a lot of sno

That's a bad analogy or whatever it is. If you remove the camera from the phone you cannot take photos. If you remove the 3.5mm jack you can still listen to audio and even still plug in wired headphones with an adapter.

Nope. My iPhone 7 came with a pair of Lightning headphones which I leave in my backpack and an 3.5mm adapter which I leave plugged into my headphones at home. Basically if you don't use more than 2 pairs of headphones on a regular basi

Apple Maps was never as bad as the media hype suggested at the time. It wouldn't surprise me if 2/3rds of users never encountered any major problems. While it was worse than Google Maps it was still as good or better than most aut
