Interestingly there is a saying amongst pilots that is: "The second engine flies you to the scene of the accident". I'm not sure if this works as a metaphor in this case.

The article doesn't mention legal downloads which might skew the results even further in favour of filesharing and will to some extent explain why CD sales are falling. Another reason why I think CD sales are falling is because the music th

I think this is one of the main reasons that Lisp isn't popular; many in the community don't want it to be. This fact, along with sparse documentation and until recently, a lack of accessible editors have hampered growth. For a long time th

I could look for another name but I've thought of one that is particularly appropriate and its being squatted on. However I think you're right; investing time thinking of others names is more effective.

Well the article is entitled 'Why Facebook Sucks'. I personally don't agree that the point is valid. What you have in Facebook is a list of contacts for other Facebook users. It wouldn't be that useful outside of Facebook.

I'm convinced that people who slate facebook haven't really used it. It is currently my most effective means of communicating with friends and family. And I don't think I've ever come across such a polished application before, web-based or

I fully support the decision to award Al Gore and IPCC the nobel peace prize. Wars are started for many reasons and global warming will definitely be one of them. Darfur is just a taster.

Also I really don't like the terms: 'Bubble 2.0' and 'Web 3.0'. Can we not wait for some industry consensus before brandishing these terms. (Thanks I had to get that off my chest).

For me the following sentence says that there is no 'bubble 2.0': "The overvaluations this time are not being made by businesspeople and investors, but consumers and users." At worst you could argue that this is a fad but not a bubble. User
