The differences, while minimal, do make a big difference in certain environments. Long cable lengths (>70m) is the obvious one that might apply in a home environment theoretically. The more common case where it makes a difference is in v

My home is a mix of topologies, but everything that is twisted pair copper that was pre-existing is Cat5e and has no trouble fully saturating 10gbps (30-40ft average loop length). I have cheap RG6 handling 2.5Gbps where I didn’t have an exi

My point was it’s hyperbolic. You’d have to be going so close[0] to C that it’d be impossible. [0] about 0.99999c if what someone else in this thread said is correct

I’m aware of time dilation, my point was that a “week vacation” to something “over 4 light years” away is just hyperbolic.

I just checked my emails and it was always $500 credit offered after returning for me, so maybe some DTK folks were offered $200? Either way, it ultimately was $500 however by your own admission, even if initially stated to some as $200.

Fiber gets closer to the speed of light, even when accounting for retransmission delays, than just 50%. The index of refraction for glass is commonly quoted as 1.5. That makes it 33%. Also, Starlink isn’t vacuum speeds either (unless you ar
