Given the project needs more than just the MCU (or FPGA) chip itself, best to compare finished forms. The project OP posted uses a Pi Pico (aka ~$4) and a comparable form factor for an iCE40 is about $35-40ish.

Did the Pico steal your lunch money as a kid? Run over your dog? Otherwise why the extreme desire to use something ~10x more expensive and significantly higher power draw, for ZERO practical benefit? Don’t get me wrong, I love FPGAs and lit

I believe what GP meant is the feedback they offer. Do you think the Magic Trackpad moves? Hint it doesn’t, the “click” you feel is a haptic feedback motor.

I’ve tested this on iPhone 14 Pro Max, 13 Pro Max, and 12 Pro Max. Using iOS 16.4 and 16.5 beta, I’m unable to replicate this. AT&T 54.0.1 Managed Networks: AT&T Wi-Fi Passpoint, attwifi Verizon 54.0.1 Managed Networks: PrivateM

No, what allowed that was them not requiring two people to be on the flight deck. That’s insane to me (and doesn’t happen in the US which customarily has a two person rule, which I believe is defined in Part 121, but still trying to find it

No, the mesh doesn’t block everything. In the case of using your rule of thumb (1/10th wavelength), it’ll reduce the signal strength by about 33db if my math is right.
