It is already in place since Jan 2017 I think. Energieeinspeisegesetz is the relevant keyword. But this redesign of the regulation is really complicated with a lot of different cases and exceptions. No concise summary in english I'm af

Changes in regulation in G require operators to upgrade generator capacity in order to utilize gas storage to produce electricity at peak demand and not flat all the time.

Anaerobic biodigesters are very common here in Germany. The residue is a really good fertilizer that can be applied to the fields. At least here in G the nitrogen application from this has to be documented and subtracts from the N fertilize

I vaguely remember the pineapple from HAK5 can do MITM stuff. Not sure whether that could be used to unveil encrypted traffic from your devices to their homes.

There is a tcpdump/wireshark module on OpenWRT. You might want to go with a router that is capable to capture and store the dumps like the extendable Turris Omnia. Highly recommended router.

It is possible to recycle old LCD monitors into articficial windows that have a very real feel to them. The diffraction lenses for the backlight direct the light in a way that makes it appear sun like. Of course this is only about the direc

Uses one TCP port instead of a UDP port range like mosh makes it easier to use through a firewall. Nice.

The CO2 expelled from the Calcium Carbonate is quite pure compared to CO2 from combustion which usually contains nitrous oxides. This makes it suitable for capture and liquification and thn for example as a gasous fertilizer in greenhouses.

Can confirm that OmniGraffle is excellent. Downside is that after my departure from MacOSX towards Linux my diagrams are lost in the silo I created them in. Since then using draw.io, yed and Inkscape.

By the way, glyphosate is not at all "incredibly toxic". Its toxicity, the debatable claim about causing cancer set aside since that is not about toxicity, is well below that of coffee. It would be safe to ingest larger amounts of

The CO2 is of high quality because it is not coming from a burning something process and there is a huge amount of residual/excess heat from the calcination process. Perfect for algae production!

I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiment. I guess as long as there is no real cost attached to the waste disposal this is not going to change. We need appropriate policies to nudge the development into this direction.

I think the rationale here is that the intensified production in greenhouses frees up formerly used as agricultural land elsewhere that could then be repurposed for wildlife and insects. Personally I am not sure this math adds up. At least
