Well, if the fancy projects are killing it, they could always give back to the giants shoulders or piles of dwarfs they are standing on.

One could use the free software Subtitle Edit [1] for the labeling of the audio. Output would be in SRT format, but a conversion to the required JSON should be trivial. [1] https://www.nikse.dk/subtitleedit/

I see a lot of potential of this for other fields. For example coughing detection in pig husbandry. So while I am a little wary about the baby monitoring, I am very grateful for the project and its documentation. Thank you!

Awesome! I always wanted this and at one point tried to achieve it with WWWOFFLE, but the welcome proliferation of https thwarted that attempt. Gonna check it. Unfortunately only for chrome. I am very much used to having my favourite set of

What about Zerotier 2.0 btw? Was supposed to surface before summer, but seems to have stalled. Might actually be relevant as more people are working from home now.

Yes, this! There is one musician on YT who said that he is simply doodling away on his groovebox frequently and that more than 90 percent of the results are shitty. But from those ideas that are somewhat decent he develops his music.

A reverse stirling engine takes mechanical energy and produces a temperature differential. These kinf of setups are actually being used for quite efficient cooling.

by jsilence 6y ago
It would still be a normal Stirling engine and not reverse. The engine only needs a large enough temperature differential. Where that comes from does not matter.
