More available bandwidth ultimately means higher data caps at lower (or the same) cost.

I'm assuming that there are basically two reasons to support 8K now. One is that it gets them higher resolution for a potential future VR headset. The other is that it is bigger than 4K and that sounds good in their marketing.

Oh, sorry, I was joking initially and misinterpreted your remark about it being too hot. You meant that the required temps are too hot for the circulator, which is obvious in hindsight. Thanks for setting me straight. :) I'd still argu

I'm not sure why you'd say "too hot". Most sous vide circulators cannot even boil water, so it definitely wouldn't be "violently boiling". The general use is to hold a low temp (eg, 130F) for an extended p

Our company standardized on React company-wide along with a company-built framework of reusable components to share across all applications. Apparently at least some people choose frameworks because they want that.

Yeah, and if someone really does need your input on something they'll pull you in for a few minutes. Or many minutes. But this isn't a bad thing.

I was thinking about that last bit earlier. What if gigafactory has spawned enough competition to make further aggressive development less necessary? Or what if there are tax breaks to be found in other states for a new plant (possibly with

That is a really good point and one that I haven't thought of much. I've always considered "most popular" company as a signal of overvaluation, though I've certainly never analyzed that rigorously. But is there a si

I drive a sports car on public roads. Straight, level, boring public roads with low speed limits. Straight line is basically the only thing that matters 90% of the time. For the other 10% of the time, the difference between a Tesla and the

I agree with you for the most part. The Q4 results had guidance indicating that Q1 would end with ~10K vehicles in transit at the end. That is exactly the result. There were two surprises, though. They also guided flat shipments of X and S,

I'm curious how they come up with that, actually. Aren't batteries at ~100/KWh at the moment? I would have expected a MWh to be closer to $100k. If I'm not mistaken, 1000 cycles at that rate would get you close to $100&#

Yes, that makes sense. The SDCard port on the pi seems to be slower than the USB bus. I will say that I think your estimate for the USB bus on the pi is probably too high. In practice, I don't think it can do more than 250 or so.

Does it matter? In practice, it doesn't seem like the sd card is ever faster than the Pi USB bus.
