I believe the author might be trying to say, for example, "let's hope water won't blow up." To make this implication, I believe the author meant to refer to "Tao's most fanciful work" rather than the equat

The point of the parent comment is to illustrate that there is in fact no evidence to support the claim that hip hop makes food taste better. The existence of a theoretical mechanism by which hip hop could impact cheese flavor, possibly mak

Blender is an amazing example. I was daunted by the thought of learning the rich set of hotkeys until I saw it compared to vim. Learning vim or emacs is well worth the effort, inspiring confidence that blender is as well.

No no, the problem isn't reaching across the desktop. The problem is literally taking your fingers off of home row. It's fine if you're in a phase of your activity where you're moving slowly, contemplatively. But if the

For many people, writing out the command text is faster. Fantastically faster, when you take advantage of the efficiency improvements like tab completion, readline hotkeys, aliases, scripts, etc. And you don't lose time from whatever y

These are simply claims of fact about the world. One can easily investigate their veracity and see if an error has been made. There is nothing anti-semitic about acknowledging Jewish success.
