Having now read the paper, the research area is interesting because optimizations in optimal path finding have applications in robotics, gaming, and reasoning (what the ultimate intention of this paper is). The research team identified ways

Substack exists. There are places where you can match content with payment. Comparing Medium and Substack, I make money with my Autonomous Agents newsletter on Substack, not so much on Medium. I also used to run a Web3 site where people wou

It is a collection of screenshots and embeds of tweets with replies and the statement that something has broken. Seemingly a confirmation by OpenAI that something has broken. A complaint that the system prompt is now 1700 tokens. ----- Fe

Interestingly a lot of movies flopped in 2023 not because of bad visuals, but because their writing was bad. Hence, I believe the demise of the movie industry is overstated. I can see completely new forms of entertainment coming out of this

Hallucinations are caused by missing context. In this case enough context should be available. But I haven't kicked all its tires yet.

I implemented an AI for credit decisioning which filled up a work queue when it couldn't make the decision itself. So one could argue that the person who arranged for the work to be done that day was an AI.

I have lived, worked, and faced racism in 15 countries. Race is always an issue even in the most meritocratic multicultural societies (like Singapore). People will always have a bias about your culture. Just ask any German how many people g

I believe that the movie industry is just before a major disruption. 1. Big movie studios have been overproducing content with reduced returns. 2. Business model change to direct-to-consumer (streaming). 3. Regulatory changes (DEI minority

Not to sound snarky, but try to find an older movie like "Lost Boys (1987)" on one of the many streaming services. This is not an infinite library but they pre-select what we can and more importantly can't watch.

Ubuntu is an amazingly mature Desktop without the MS bloatware. For my AI work, I fully rely on it. Would I use it if I had to make only Powerpoint slides and Word docs? Likely not.

While I loved the 3D imagination of the 90s, 3D navigation is not the shortest way to the needed information. Imagine your file structure would be organized like a video game? It's the same reason why transparent touch screens and VR d

I think this underlines the misconception by YT of who the customer is. Is it the advertiser who buys ad-space, is it the content creator who makes videos, or the viewer subscriber? Satisfying all three parties at scale is incredibly hard.
