To solve the FF page wrapping problem, I wonder if it would work to double-map each 6502 page to x64 host pages side by side. I assume the word read at FF would straddle the two mapped pages effectively reading the second byte at 00. You&#x

Obviously bad to upload heap dumps, but they do have an enterprise plan you can pay for to host their software on your own hardware to avoid public upload. Still, even offering the public upload option is a serious concern. They'd be b

Very cool but can you fill in the eye whites instead of leaving them as background color? The characters looked really odd with a dark mode extension enabled so all the eyes were completely black :D

The history to GIF is a neat feature but falls apart if your first operation is to invert colors or fill the image as black instead of default white. Having the ability to edit history would be nice (cut out the initial New Document history

I was once asked in a web development interview how to asynchronously fetch a resource. I answered something to the effect of "you just add a `true` parameter in the xhr.open() call somewhere, probably the second or third parameter&quo

Sure, but 25 years ago that'd still be placing a bet that those tools would be relevant today. That was my point.

I think the reason you don't see this kind of course offered is because it is primarily concerning training and not education. Imagine if your training course 25 years ago focused on the Turbo C IDE and that's all the University o

The cognitive overload is not just in having to mentally parse a single complex conditional check on a single if statement. It's more an aggregate effect of having to mentally compose all of the conditions of the outer if/else bra

Looking at your `init` function, I would refactor it to not be so nested with if statements. Try logically inverting the if checks and returning early up near the top of the method and remove the else branches. Keep repeating this kind of r

Great idea for audio but that sounds very challenging given BPF's lack of support for floating point types and instructions [0]. I suppose it's possible to do audio processing being limited to integer arithmetic. BPF does have mul

The zzart format looks ridiculously wordy. A lot of compression could be achieved by shortening the property names. I wonder how much BSON would provide in size advantage but it'd have to be encoded to something amenable to a URI.

I just tried `A1: 1`, `B1: =A1`, `C1: =B1*5` and the C formula failed as `#VALUE`. It seems to only work if there is no nesting of cell references in formulae.

It'd only be ironic if the web server hosting the blog was a Go process, and even then it's a leap to conclude irony because the fault may lie outside the server process itself such as with the hosting company.

One could easily amortize the startup cost by putting the backend logic into a background service where it only starts up once and continues running. A frontend program like `wc` would just forward requests to the backend service.

I may be an oddball here but I prefer and still use to this day the original IBM VGA8 BIOS bitmap font [0] for monospace everywhere including IDEs and text editors. I grew up in the late 1980s and 1990s staring at DOS text mode screens and
