I think this is just a trope that JS devs and newbies have launched on to, and that it's without merit. Classes are good. Classes express concrete taxonomies of concrete things in ways that most developers can understand. I think we sh

Looks great. I've been building almost the exact same idea for fun as a side project, but initially focused on deep analysis of TypeScript and ES2015+ specifically. Runs in Docker as well, spinning up containers to do analysis work, bu

That's just considered good practice. React brings nothing new to separation of concerns. In fact, it works against it.

Happy to see such uptake in TS, and it's great that big frameworks such as Dojo 2.0 and Angular 2.0 are adopting it, but I can't help but feel a bit weird and slightly disappointed that JSX found its way in. Anyways, great work by

It does, yes. See the comment at the top of the file: It requires cscript.exe, which is more or less just the Windows Script Host. I pointed out the script ostensibly because of the similarities of ES6 and TypeScript both having specs writt

I think that it's outlandish and silly that ES6 doesn't have a safer, more sound philosophy about type systems, e.g. like the elegant and rational one in TypeScript today. The web needs increased consistency and cohesion in the HT

Agree. It makes writing functional code (and functional-style code) much better looking. Careful though: Libraries like jQuery and D3 can and/or do rebind `this` and that can be a gotcha in both TypeScript and straight ES6. You can end

Crawling pages is probably one of the most common use cases, I would imagine. I use PhantomJS and SlimerJS to host CLI tools written in TypeScript/JavaScript. I also run these tools in the browser because I find it a better debugging e

If you need advanced animations for things like interactive experiences of very complex scenarios, then a fully fledged animation lib is the right tool for the job, and GSAP is an excellent choice. If you need fairly simple things like slid

Yeah I realize that may not have been the clearest statement, thanks. While ES6 is nice, it just doesn't have the elegance and utility of some of the other TypeScript things like generics and the interfacing system. Also, it will proba

TypeScript has these and they're marvelous. They make writing functional style code very enjoyable and not having to capture `this` yourself is alone justification for this developer to never go back to pure JavaScript.

Hey, thanks for the links. Also, nice job on Velocity. I'm still unconvinced that tweening is the way to go in most animation use cases (basic combinations of slides, fades, etc) The bottom line is this: Most animation libraries write

I recently looked into using Velocity on a mobile application. I need simple animations but they need to be performant. I was dismayed to find that Velocity and almost every other animation library out there still uses DOM-based tweening ra

Any plans for Oculus support? I'm building a code analysis framework with a visualization tool and if MathBox were to support the Rift it would be a no-brainer over using raw SVG or D3.
