Not quite the same, unless I'm misunderstanding. I'm talking about an online migration on a single RDS instance with an engine switch handled fully behind the scenes. The link provided doesn't seem to handle data changes sinc

One feature that I wish was supported in RDS is to migrate from a MySQL engine to Aurora engine without having to create new database instance at all. It looks like Amazon DMS makes this process easier, but since Aurora is fully compatible

Do they? The only big company I've been at (Amazon) has an absolute monster of an inhouse build and deployment/pipelining system. Although it could just be that they've been around longer than open source alternatives.

This was the nasty part for me. I had to explicitly contact AT&T customer service and ask them to change my account from a contract plan to a Bring Your Own Phone plan once the contract expired in order to bring the bill down on month

I'm running the AT&T plan for my family right now and the math worked out such that we would pay almost the exact same amount whether we bought a new iPhone up front or bought it subsidized with a 2 year contract (because of the mo

Often the media gets the alleged criminals wrong, and then innocent people are harassed via social media. Even if they get the names right, people with the same name get harassed as well.

Should Money.new(20, 'USD') == Money.new(2000, 'US Cents')? Or Money.new(20, 'USD') == Money.new(125, 'CNY') when ExchangeRateManager.getExchangeRate('CNY', 'USD') == 0.16? My poin

No. Nobody on here would take a loan on a house with "effective annual interest rates of more than 100 percent" as mentioned in the article. It's true that people spend much more on a house than if they bought it outright, bu
