Use VIPS ( http://www.vips.ecs.soton.ac.uk/index.php?title=VIPS ) for large TIFF conversion. It should handle them much, much faster. Also, I think there was a write-up on highscalability.com about instagram, or pinterest, or

This would be great for us. Various parts of our stack are spread around so many different platforms, and this could really take the grunt work out of that. Not to mention removing the need of dealing with fifteen various shoddy interfaces.

I've had trouble with Trulia's image serving for the past several months. It seems like their images just take forever to load, to the point that I switched back to Zillow.

This is what comes from the aggressive militarization of our local police forces. Tell me again why our hometown of 7,000 (at the time) felt the need to develop a full-fledged SWAT unit. It has become even worse since 9/11. Shoddy poli
