I kinda like the hill chart but TBH it shouldn't look like normal distribution, but more like a half-circle. In my experience, most (SW) projects (at all levels of granularity) are S-curves (and not straight lines like in burndown char

No, it actually means "everything else" happened, except disappearing. The usage in the title is wrong, IMHO, but I aḿ not a native speaker. (Though I would bet there is David Mitchell video out there ranting about this topic.)

The physics definition of closed system allows exchange of energy. If neither matter nor energy can be exchanged, that's called an isolated system.

Once upon a time in the universe, there was an alien civilization, and they were very interested in figuring out the question, why, despite universe seeming so vast, there are no signs of other alien civilizations. What could it be? Near-ze

You don't actually need oil, you can invest into your people regardless. That the oil is somehow a prereq is just an excuse for not doing it.

That's exactly my point. Nobody is gonna design/use AI that threatens other people with violence over its existence. And cows show that such arrangement is actually quite possible.

Sounds like you are, in "broad strokes", longing after 1870s or something. I think you forgot how crony (or crappy?) it was. What I am saying, if you really want this "traditional capitalism", which never really existed,

The absence of "traditional capitalism" from history makes it really hard not to confuse it with "crony capitalism". Perhaps you mean liberalism, as an ideology of capitalism.
