You’re probably making so much money that don’t care about your Database bill or query performance. ORM is basically a no-code tool for databases, if that solves your problem great, but that’s not something that would scale beyond basic use

Meh, the article makes it sound as if there were nothing and we have already solid options like SeaORM and Diesel. Still to me they all suck and nothing beats SQLx

I think this is actually great, users will finally have a reason to switch from Chrome to an open browser. Ofc they will fight back an allow only their browser on their services, which again will be a great push to use open and privacy cons

You’re mixing product decisions with code decisions. Product should make sure to create an MVP aka the fastest solution for A-B. Code should be done right no matter what, you’re being paid as an expert to do that, if they would want whateve

Classic cat and mouse moves. Adblockers will move to OS level so google cant do anything about it. Pi-hole and Network level blockers should also see a rise.

I would like to see GitHub/GitLab adding a section like SO to the repos, slowly it would build more updated content and the repo owners could moderate. I think the amount of centralized knowledge in SO is not good for the web.

Agreed, most places in Berlin won't take cards or only take EC cards. That has made me use cash, and not fear of any kind.

I would get a macbook. I use Arch 90% of the time but usually I'm dealing with poor battery life and not rock solid wifi, but I can stand both. If I need long battery life or really stable wifi I would just boot OSX and run Arch on VMw
