I don't think the HomePod will be very successful in our little tech bubble (although the large amount of disposable income helps) but I do think it will find a decent level of consumer success. Apple Music is now more popular in the U

Which of it's big cities aren't corrupt, though? This isn't just a localized problem, these people often end up in federal positions. Plus, there's a huge percentage of the population that lives in large cities. It

You're mostly right, although the killing is typically overblown and taken out of context in many circumstances. But when it does happen, you're right that it's damn near impossible to get a conviction of a police officer. An

How high up did this sort of thing go, though? It seems like in more corrupt places, this sort of thing basically goes all the way to the top and the entire department is engaged in this kind of activity. Whereas here we have small groups o

Is it really that good though, or is it just that a lot of design effort (and dollars) have been put into it? Just based on the quality of electron based applications I have used, I feel like this basically amounts to spending a lot of time

Personally I don't think it's ugly. I think having a solid bezel across the top but not the bottom would actually look worse. And it actually makes the new gestures more intuitive: swiping down from the left of the notch does the

I generally agree that they didn't "bet big" on iPhone X, but I really hate equating it with the S8 because that was a terrible device in my opinion. First off, just from being in my empty pocket for 2-3 days, the screen was

Technically transpiling is just a more specific kind of compiling, so you’re not wrong in saying compiling.

I’ve seen approaches that basically use a Node server + queues for this. I think this is how Laravel does websockets.

I was referring more to the overall ecosystem than the core platform, which is solid. Stack Overflow uses Dapper rather than Entity Framework, and that alone makes transitioning much easier. EF on .NET Core still just isn’t as good, and the

It definitely wasn't underpowered for the Switch. And they managed to get Skyrim and Doom running on that. I'd imagine they could do even better performance wise in a traditional console rather than kind of a portable hybrid.
