Yes. As someone who's written popular open source before, I can say that if it made me money, I would've happily invested more time into it. Instead, it just brought me lots of thankless work, which caused me to abandon it. Fundin

The market for "solve an algebra equation and show the steps" is students who want something to do their homework for them. And yes, websites (and graphing calculator apps) already do this. For example, http://cymath.co

The iPhone is an evolution of the iPod, not really disrupting it. Some people might call it a disruption but I view it more as an evolution. However, Intel is definitely a good example. Netflix is another good one.

This was a bug in the DAO, not Ethereum. From what I read, this was the bug: https://github.com/slockit/DAO/commit/f01f3bd8df5e1e222dde62... I'm not sure why you'd find this satisfying, unless you h

No, multiple parties could execute a smart contract between themselves, and keep the code private. Smart contract just means it's a contract that gets executed through code. Even in the case of a public and decentralized platform like

If you could capture the entire logic in code, it wouldn't be arbitration, it'd just be a feature of the smart contract. The way you'd encode an arbitration clause into a smart contract is making the arbitrator an oracle. Tha

I disagree about Eat My Dust. It's more than just "check if I'm near a superfund site" It's about checking your actual (or prepurchase) home for various hazardous materials, regardless of superfund sites. This alrea

There are a lot of interesting ideas in the submissions, so I wouldn't be surprised if Pinboard is one of them. It seems like an interesting pick. Personally, if I could only pick one, I'd pick Eat My Dust - Home testing for dange

I wonder if it'd matter if the computer had both a max APM, and a requirement that its actions can only be in a field of view at one time, and that it can only change the field of view a certain number of times per minute. This would b
