When I spot a resume I like, I then read/look for the cover letter. I imagine you do the same. So there is probably some value in writing a decent cover letter at the very least.

This is fantastic timing! I was just about to ask on HN about this yesterday as I've got an upcoming interview and am concerned about accessing culture. THANK YOU!

From a strictly environmental perspective, mining in China in general is going to be worse for the global environment than in the US due to restrictions on pollution from energy generation in the states, at least for now.

Etherium’s proof of stake should solve this problem. But I agree, the incentives aren’t aligned to help the environment and that should be a major concern for anyone who cares about future generations livelihood.

I use both regularly. SoundHound is my go to by default but I use Shazam as a backup. Shazam is more successful normally but I like SoundHound more for whatever reason.

I'm afraid I'm not going to answer many of your questions but I am going to say some stuff still: It may be stressful but try to embrace the change and remain positive. Take it as an opportunity to reevaluate other things in life

Why not have the detergent bottle automatically add itself to your list on your phone when it runs out - it doesn't need to actually buy it on amazon. Seems convenient to me.

If pairing became an issue, amazon could associate a new bottle with your account before they ship it to you, and automagically register the device with your router. As an added bonus you could get a real confirmation that the box arrived w

Wow this is a really interesting/nice looking product at an impressive price point. I wonder how well the GPS works. It has GLONASS so I am impressed. Almost makes me regret shelling out for a garmin 735...

Hmm, I feel like I'm burning out right now - both very exhausted and very bored - work feels tedious. I never linked these too things together. Thank you

I've started buying CDs again for my car. I have bluetooth on my phone but don't want to be distracted by it and I find the built in controls on my player nicer to use. Also I see it as a way to more directly contribute to the art

I think it comes down to the complexity/size of the project, the amount of turn over in the team (with higher turn over you're using going to want more tests and docs), and overall willingness to invest in the product health. Some

If you want, give yourself one or 2 extra punishing workouts since you took a week off (some nice hill repeats, hard tempo, etc.) and then forgive yourself! Even the best of us have lapses in our routine occasionally.

Honestly your twitter bot (and some of the other art bots) may be the best content on twitter. I thought it was cool that I could interact with your bot. Great work!

Interesting points, especially about the culture change. I really hope that with the legalization, there is going to be a push for better education about marijuana. Right now broadly speaking it's pretty binary, "pot is a gateway

Or you can think about it as looking under the hood of a car, or taking apart an iPhone to appreciate the beauty. But I do love the irony. I imagine people have run binary decompilers on the decompilers themselves before.
