Writing by hand also lets me /think/ better. I don't have to change tools to draw a shape or change the layout. I have a thought, and my hand creates some visual representation of that thought. There's no middle step.

I wish the slashes for italic had made it into what is currently Markdown. /italics/ and *bold* feel much more natural to me than having to remember whether a single asterisk ( text ) or double asterisk (*text*)

Similar experience in a subaru. After fighting the lane keep assist feature a couple of times when it got confused and jerked the wheel all of a sudden, we just turned it off permanently.
