I just subscribe/unsubscribe to the providers each month. I'll definitely check out open router though, I always assumed that subscriptions were heavily subsidized by the providers especially if you're on the top end of users

That's good to hear. It was legitimately unusable back when 4.7 was released, so I had no choice at the time. I'm sure I'll ping pong back again at some point.

Oh for sure. I've been hopping around from provider to provider for the last few years just depending on who has the most capable / subsidized plans at the moment. I definitely expect there will be a squeeze on subscription costs

It's really interesting how back then no one was considering these tools for coding at all. Today, the hype around Mythos is mostly around security vulnerabilities, while in the original GPT 2 post they don't mention coding once.

Still satisfied with my switch to codex/chatgpt. I couldn't imagine switching away from claude code when it first launch but with the drastically more generous usage on codex for the same subscription tier I just can't justif

I really liked your animations, but isn't step 14 incorrect? Earth's axis processes, but on a very long timescale. In the span of a day, the axis should be effectively stationary. That's why its the rotation 'axis'

I'm not in the UK, but from what I understand that's actually decent. US salaries, particularly in tech, are wildly higher than in most of Europe.

So this is essentially a way to reduce immigration to the country? And if they get close to the cap they will "need to take measures, particularly in the areas of asylum and family reunification." Would be curious to learn more ab

Not sure how many injuries this would realistically prevent, but reducing rotational acceleration by a factor of 3.5 with a tiny sticker is a pretty awesome result.

I built a safari extension called Scrolless [1] to try and solve this issue (Disclaimer: it's a $4.99 one time unlock). If you use social media in the web instead of the native apps, and use Scrolless, you'll only see posts from y

I think it's cool that they make stuff like this. It's refreshing to see something engineered for the sake of being beautiful and cool, instead of worrying about BOM cost and margin.

I think harnesses would count, AI != LLMs. Any piece of code that helps the computer reason for itself is AI, the harnesses are AI in a sense.

I unsubscribed ~7 years ago and was forced to call a person. It depends on where you live, I remember reading at the time that California residents could unsubscribe online, but everyone else was forced to call. They then forced you to conv

I think there would still be a place for it if it's beyond human comprehension. For instance, really complex lemmas to solve human-tractable problems. If you can pose a question in a proof assistant language like Lean, have an AI write

It's because of AI agents. People can talk about the other benefits all they want, but this is the real reason. Agents can use TUIs natively with basic written instructions, which is why they are exploding in popularity.

It's weird to me that standardized tests were demonized as anti-equity rather than GPA. You can always get extra help with homework, projects, etc. if you have a better funded support system. Single subject/unit tests in high scho

I don’t think “I focus too much on technical requirements” is a great weakness. That’s pretty much a standard pitfall most technical people would fit into. A greatest weakness is “I procrastinate a lot and wait til the last moment to get st

I'm not saying you need a diversified portfolio, I'm just saying that the actual rate of return will regress to the mean of 4% given enough time. Obviously we don't know if that regime will hold forever but that's the na
