To me, his comments on transducers & types sounded more like: I don't care to write a type signature for this, and good luck to you if you do.

True, but it's more b/c his criticism of VC and PG specifically has a Captain Ahab level of intensity and persistence, which can get in the way of discussing, well, anything else.

I thought that was more about maximizing your hits, given that you have found some creative geniuses at specific parts of the process, like Ester Dean, Max Martin, etc.

Ken's blog is a consistently refreshing and insightful read. I had the pleasure to meet him last fall and his enthusiasm for and perspective on the future of how we experience art (and everything else, really) is energizing.

Curious about OP's assertion on this as well. Only one I ever got was from a company widely regarded as one of the best to work for in Atlanta (I ended up not taking their offer so I can't say). Unrelated to that -- one of my per

I work on something similar and from my perspective, the swapping for similar things is the fun part of the problem, and the figuring out what is available is the nasty part, given retailers' diverse and frequently bad ways of revealin

When I reflect on the ease of use question, I realize most of my frustrations with the Clojure REPL have actually been with trying to use it within an editor (Vim, Emacs, and Atom so far). And particularly with getting a ClojureScript REPL

I think most are related to easiness, and so not recognized as an advantage by many Clojure acolytes (see: Rich Hickey's Simple Made Easy talk). Others are a consequence of shared state; also not recognized as a positive in Clojurelan

From the last Clojure/conj (conference), it definitely seems that Clojure is at, or even past, an inflection point. I doubt any companies (that are themselves, aside from tech stack, appealing to work for) are having trouble at least g

It's pretty different. It's not flux or flux-like. And almost every Redux example or tutorial does use ES6 or more. As far as the platform, I had an easier time learning ClojureScript and Leiningen than Gulp/Webpack/Ba

Seems like that's as much (or more! esp. with docs) as you can expect from an open source maintainer. For something to take off, the community has to step up. I get the concern, though. There's a phase where (if you're an ea

Hard to answer that with concrete numbers but Om Next handles optimistic and non-optimistic updates quite elegantly. Roughly speaking: each query expression is parsed twice, once locally and once in remote mode, and as long as your backend

Reagent is very nice and by itself very easy to get started with. That said, I think Om Next is more comparable to Re-frame ( https://github.com/Day8/re-frame ) as far as being more opinionated about handling data flow.
