Equally awesome writing on another example, Roger Federer[1], by David Foster Wallace, a MacArthur guy and one of my favorite 3 writers ever: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/08/20/sports/playmagazine/20fede... Sorry for the non-hacker content

Tumblr is an awesome blogging platform that's dead simple and has some Twitteresque social features (ie following) built in. Also has a great bookmarklet and a neat api.

Also relevant to 37s philosophy is the fact that they charge for something (chips & salsa) that most people expect to get for free. Which is why I get my burritos at Willy's :)

It's pretty close to the intended, prescribed use. If you can't focus on your work to the extent that allows you to compete with your peer group, you get prescribed Ritalin/Adderall.

I use Ruby, with its nice regex support and libraries (open-uri, REXML) and the hpricot and mechanize rubygems. Yahoo Pipes is also fun to play with; and Firebug is the scraper's best friend. Right now I'm working on scraping public Linke

$20?! What, is it made of diamonds? My current phone is AT&T's $10 Go Phone (some kind of LG), and it has a color screen, customizable menus, and better voice quality than my previous phone (an LG flip phone). It's also light, small a

Actually I haven't seen one on the front page in a while, but maybe I haven't been paying attention. Also, I have a friend who is a dyslexic physicist, and he thinks the Large Hadron Collider is kinda gay.

Moderation, reposting to Twitter, and linking are interesting ideas -- I hope you don't mind if I take them as suggestions and potentially implement them down the road. What language/framework did you use to build tweviews?
