Symptoms I'd add: 1) Recency bias 2) Mistaking "Easy to have an interesting debate about" for "interesting". That last one's a fine line, so to clarify, an example might be "Twitter's impact on X" vs. "Friendfeed's use of MySQL to store sch

To be fair, they only came out with that post after the virtue of failing had been basically become received wisdom. I'm still not sure what it means -- I hope it's fairly synonymous with "fail cheaply", or to me at least it's useless advic

It will last a 6-8 hours of fairly heavy surfing (no video, 1 or 2 podcasts) on the cell data network, or a full day of normal use/non-use. I usually leave wifi and GPS off, and haven't really had any problems w/battery life.

I've got one and I love it. With a real headphone jack and Flash support, it would be the perfect phone IMHO.

This has been my go-to first look in the past, and I've found some good ones that I've used there. But it's a bit limited and some of the links are now outdated (from their Free Fonts of the Week/Month series)

It's a trick statement. Summer is beautiful, but is one of 5 seasons, and only lasts from May until mid-June. Basically it goes: Spring, Summer, Hell, Football Season, and Christmas. Football Season is the best time to be in Atlanta.

There's a market for keywords, and these employees (we are, I guess, assuming for this discussion) have insider information on those. Like you said, it's worth millions, and like stock trading, it's basically a zero-sum game, so if you beco

Also, as Alex himself alluded in his original piece, why would someone who presumably has a stake in a company that shrugs off half-billion dollar acquisition offers be trying anything devious to promote a technical book ?

I would probably buy the How to Soundproof Your Apartment or House for Cheap, Guaranteed ebook. You could probably find some not too competitive keywords for this, or find people bitching about noisy neighbors on Twitter. How hard/expens

Cool. If you want to enter this one as well, you don't have to share your algorithm. I just think it will be more interesting if at least the winner does share.
