The biggest strike against states rights in recent memory was the removal of the SALT deduction, one of the strongest protectors of state power. Now states with higher tax burdens are much less competitive, because the citizens of that stat

He didn’t read the article and point out why he disagreed, he literally misquoted the article (multiple times) to make it seem like it said something it did not. Even if you say “well, that’s just one article” the 50 minute video demonstrat

Yikes. This reads like a gish-gallop of anti-vax talking points. I don’t even necessarily disagree with the decision to reinstate the employees, but this legal reasoning is embarrassing. Edit: I’m happy to learn that the New York Supreme Co

No, if you read the article, that is the breakdown for the average fully developed public restroom in SF. $1.7m is not the cost for a single commode.

Your post didn’t offend me, if anything it reminded me how hard the problems are to truly solve. I appreciate your ideas, but we are in a democracy and you need buy-in. > the city is empty Maybe so, but you have to convince the residents

This is largely editorial bias and sensationalism. The original article was clickbait, $1.7m is merely the going rate for a public restroom (think of the big installations with women, men, and family rooms plus a janitor room). It is not wh

Allowing bribery and corruption only ensures that whatever system you end up with requires bribery and corruption to work. Better to let the system freeze up entirely and remove the unnecessary bureaucracy than monkey-patch the bad system

Absolutely media hype. Read the article. Nowhere will you find $1.7m spent on a single commode. It’s just a budgetary set-aside for a future public restroom at the going rate. Leftover funds will go back to the general fund or can be put to

Any actual SF residents in this thread? I’m seeing a lot of very authoritative posts coming from places of ignorance. One person even called it a “right wing dystopia”. Here’s the bottom line. The problems we are trying to solve in SF are
