TL;DR: Exceeded guidance, no blowout. Mac sales are static, overall iPhone sales softening as the lineup ages, iPads surging, iPod continues to dwindle, miscellaneous sales remain miscellaneous. + stock buyback next year + dividends being i

Hooray! Now can they also buy BusyCal so that there's at least one non-braindamaged method of talking to Google CalDAV servers on a Mac?

Not just Windows developers. Microsoft Office for Mac v.X was released on November 19, 2001. It ran without incident for a decade on the latest and best Macs that money could buy through July 20, 2011. This was not by happenstance.

According to a forum-goer who reported it to Apple, they are aware Turbo Boost isn't properly being initialized during Windows boot and will be issuing a firmware update.

No, it's not offensive at all. But software can cast a net across seven billion people and there are plenty who would be upset at the idea of even the slightest innuendo. It's irrational, it's not fun, and it's kind of a sad commentary on h

It know it's one of those irrational "the things you can't say on TV are the things you can't say on TV" kind of situations, but sexual innuendo and financial software don't mesh.

Agreed. It's one of those "we'll figure this out later" things from the late 90's without any real programmatic constraints that led to a mishmash of pointless and unexpected behavior. I personally can't come up with a good reason not to ju

[opinioneering] Applause! You brought a tear to my eye. After living a luxuriant Apple-only lifestyle I've had to start supporting PCs again. Re-entering the Junkspace that is Windows has been punishing. UI completely untouched since 1995.

Here's the discussion I want to have: Intel has spent at least $500M to date on their Ultrabook concept, while only selling an estimated 500,000 units across all Ultrabook vendors globally. This implies that a $1,000 per-unit subsidy is fai
