I hate the idea of defending misunderstood analogies, so I'll limit myself here and simply say that a memorable domain is worth more than an obscure one because of the traffic it draws simply by being memorable. Maybe a better analogy is br

Remind us what's bad about squatting? Isn't abc.com literally worth more than weqporjewroq.net ??? An apartment in times square costs more than a 5 bedroom house in Iowa.

I think you misunderstand. Imagine I wanted to see which arm is better for throwing a ball: right or left. I choose 1000 subjects and ask 500 of them to throw lefty and 500 to throw righty. Do you see the issue with this experimental method

If you could flip a switch and the segway could go operate in the 10-70mph range, and flip it back to operate in the 0-10mph range, you could transition from street to sidewalk (vehicle to pedestrian.) This would be worth the extra money an

That's a good point, but if it's the case, Apple was not forthcoming about that. I believe the statement said something about "duplicated functionality."

The only problem I have with this experiment is that there is no control for muscle memory. If you compared the metabolic rate of a piano player playing piano vs. someone who's never touched one before, intuitively the skilled player would

"Stupid." The title wasn't "wolfram alpha deserves no attention". A fad is defined by a traffic spike followed by a return to normal. So a group of people checked it out and it didn't stick to them . That's ok. No need for anger.
