My one attempt on a beach in San Diego was not a success, but I'm pretty big/heavy (6'3" 220lb) and I think the board was too small. Also the experienced surfers were unwelcoming and impatient. I was a n00b wasting perfe

While it's clear that both Kuri and Jibo were far too expensive, I am wondering whether there is a market for a "home entertainment" robot at any price. What are they for?

I'm not sure the person profiled supports the underlying thesis of the article. He was 82 and struggling with numerous health problems, suicide may have been a quasi-rational choice?

This is pretty cool. If you told me 20 years ago that the future of UI rendering would be GPU-accelerated HTML... I would have laughed. Heartily.

Betteridge's law would suggest that the answer is "no". In fact, they have already failed to reinvent it, and are reverting to standard practices in some sense.
