RegiStax is popular for solar and planetary imaging. I've used it several times on H-alpha solar photography. It has a fairly well defined workflow and there are lots of video tutorials on how to use it.

I understand your point, but I still think it's wrong. The minimum on the third strike is so a little-to-no revenue startup or shell company or something doesn't willingly abuse data because the fine will be 4% of nothing.

They care about user experience insofar as it attracts users to their platform -- just like every other company in the space. Apple (arguably) just happens to be a little better at it than Google, Microsoft, etc.
