It's at that point I probably get a lawyer in the room. There's a reason human testimony is second to actual evidence. I was involved in a motor vehicle accident that went to court, the testimony I have maybe half an hour afterwar

It qualifies about as much as log4j qualified for linux. If you aren't entirely in the know crowdstrike had a very similar issue a few months before with Redhat distros so was that a Redhat issue?

But the executable can still only run in the context it exists even if it is compromised. This is akin to SELinux... You cannot compromise an executable run without permission and magically get Administrator or some higher privilege level w

That's not what the code does. 3 ** int_ptr multiplies the vakue pointed at by int_ptr by 3. It is exactly the same code as 3 * (*int_ptr) which is the point the parent was making. powl(3, int_ptr) would be (int)int_ptr * (int)int_ptr

I think the main issue with async/await specifically is that it is abstracted away from most developers. I may have a sync program running a main loop and I want to have a subset of that program using something like the reactor pattern

How did it get to the drive other than having been copied there? You are once again discussing distribution not copying. Your distinction might apply to an individual holding one or two copies of some copyrighted material because it isn

Rayon abstracts away the parallelism for you. Yes Parallelism is easier in compiled languages with a concept of threads but your example doesn't do that much justice. Someone could write "rayon" for webworkers.

So they aren't making copies? How then do they have an archive of internet resources if not by copying said resources? You do realise the "downloading" is implicitly a copy. If you want to actually have a civil discussion the

I'm not going to look up legal precedent, hire a lawyer if you want that. You are wrong, copyright specifically prohibits copying, not distribution. They can get a cease and desist that requests you destroy property and they ca get a
