This is literally the point of the Model 3. They need 500,000+ cars on the road in order to move the dial on petroleum dependence. Other car makers need to copy Tesla because electric cars are better and cheaper to own, etc. We're not

No. Batteries can be recycled, as can the aluminium that makes up Tesla car bodies. You don't get anything back from 30 years of ICE emissions.

I'm highly skeptical that they'll ever be able to differentiate extremely similar targets, at distance, with a relatively cheap camera, working in the visible spectrum. I'd love to hear their tricks to getting that to work. I

Pretty much, but large multinationals are the only ones that own the mainframes, and it's only cost-effective to have a few very large providers. That's the way it's all moving.

Is this somewhat similar to how Audyssey's MultEQ (which my surround receiver has) works? What is your opinion of that product? I can't imagine it uses a very expensive microphone. The receiver was only about $500.
