> Energy extracted directly from the vacuum. Nothing to burn, nothing to consume, nothing to destroy. No fumes, no toxins, no limitations. So, it is nothing . Shieeet I wish I could sell nothing to people for money .

Well, it's the app selection that makes an OS, so if HarmonyOS can't run Android apps, it's doomed. Even if Huawei dumps money into developers (Microsoft tried that with Windows Phone).

Indeed, and it doesn't. Non-EU immigrants still outnumber EU immigrants.

Isn't that like, terribly unsafe? A lawsuit waiting to happen imo, if someone doesn't check the brake lights on their trailer...

Well, it literally says the message is there even if you swap in a genuine Apple battery yourself. Whatever, can't lose if you never play Apple's game.

Well, one reason is to reduce the tax numbers on paper. Sort of like council tax - it's not a "real" tax, until you refuse to pay it that is.

Wow, that article almost reads like a 1st of April joke. Why doesn't it affect your credit score, unlike non-payment of an electric/gas bill? I reckon that would make more people pay for it. I kept getting these letters for years,

Funny enough, I had two buyers saying pretty much this. "I'll pay 49" on a £35 item. Why? Because apparently that's "what it's worth". I appreciate the thought, but it just looks insanely suspicious...

Well, that's what happens when people can't or won't keep their own animals but still want to eat meat. Lab grown should change that in the future.

What's the performance hit on this one?

Gotta admit, it was fun "hacking" all the WPS-enabled access points around me.

If Speedtests come close, what are you downloading? You could be limited by the servers. Try a few torrents maybe? But then the modem they provide might not be able to handle that many connections. I can only get full speed with my own rout

Host downloadable content for your websites? I'm also on gigabit fiber and not really using it :D

Bus stops in the UK are terrible because of this. I could never sit on them, in fact I would stand outside unless it's raining.

Oh damn, didn't know that!

I used it in Recklinghausen, Dortmund, Dusseldorf and Koln, so yeah, within the cities. You're right, on the motorways the speed was sometimes atrocious, less than 1Mbps

I'm afraid to ask... Your upload speed is 3Mbps or something? :D Uploading anything took freaking ages on DSL, I even used mobile data to do it, it's an important part of life today.

You're getting ripped off on O2 or Vodafone. Get an Ay Yildiz Prepaid card, 25 Euros for 12GB and there's an option to top up of you run out. It's an EPlus MVNO, speeds are pretty good on 3G (~8Mbps).

Isn't this the same reaction as when one listens to good music, reads/views/hears a motivating speech/image/video, etc? An increase in endorphins and/or dopamine?

What goalposts though? I can safely say "I'm doing my part". But overall it's nothing, not even a blip. There's more spoiled meat and broken phones in the local dump than I'd ever use. This only works if everyo

I'll quit meat completely (already eating less than 1 lbs/week, so it's easy) if someone else starts buying new devices only when the battery starts failing? Because that infuriates me to no end, "lololol I still have

If we're talking individual contributions, here's a few easy ones: buy new equipment less often, paint roofs and walls white/silver/reflective, use gravity fed heating systems (more up to house builders), if you have a g

Come to think of it, there was a proposed change to taxation in the UK for these cases. Not sure what happened to it, it was not in effect this year.

How so? Is there a problem with having a company with only one employee and one client?

by jotm 7y ago
Wouldn't you actually be paying more taxes as a one person company? Why does it matter if the company has only one client and one employee if everything is paid properly?

Go straight to Reddit, or better yet old.reddit.com :) I tried that search, none are AMP for me. Tried "walmart shooting", none are AMP, even CNN live updates. Android/Firefox. Tried Chrome, not signed into Google, no AdBlock

Oh yeah, I don't read the news. If anything is important enough, I'll visit the Reddit live thread, or if it's not time sensitive, it will be in the news 2-3 weeks later, at which point it's probably worth reading. So ma
