More important things in life, or at least more important things for this community. The top two stories right now are two dudes complaining on their blog. One giving the same old tired reasons why Apple is turning sour, and the other telli

Right on. That coupled with the fact that most intelligent and capable web developers in SF are looking for more than a salary w/ benefits.

I personally don't see this myself. I work for a profitable startup in SF and we've had a hell of a time finding good hires. The problem may be that we do PHP development and the market is saturated with ex-lifers who are Java and .NET afic

Hrm, I still see it on the Console tab. The thing that bothers me is now Firebug truncates long AJAX responses. I tend to work with heavy amounts of JSON data, so this renders the new Firebug useless to me.

Sorry, I was a bit vague. I also use grep -R to search through files. I meant searching for files. As in, I have hundreds of files and I want to quickly open bar.rb which is buried in some directly. In project.vim I type '^wh/bar.rb[ent

Why do you think Project.vim stinks? I've been using it for nearly a year now on a daily basis and I can't live without it. I tried your plugin out and it worked well, but I have no reason to switch. The one thing I can't do without is bein

Link to the entire, original article: http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5j9P7paNzS3... A $50 per ounce fee is nothing, especially considering that the price would plummet as the market would be flooded with suppliers. The l

Little competition? There are a TON of companies in this market space, many of them well established. Just off the top of my head: Super Rewards, Offerpal, Gambit, Peanut Labs, etc... And those companies are already driving down the margins

Good corrections, but you're still wrong about one thing. Super Rewards did NOT make 140 Mafia. lolplaying did.

You should never ever touch an arrow key when using Vim. If you are using hjkl for movement, hit 'l' to open a fold.

Generally I agree, but for the pedantic there are other issues. Tabs at the beginning of lines aren't a problem. But, for example, it's common to see multi-line declarations of, let's say, a hash where each line looks like this: key <ta

Tabs are not fixed-width. Tabs are interpreted by the viewing application according to that application's settings. Two spaces are always two spaces.

I think the idea of women going to bars for NSA relations is a bit degrading. The quality of a bar hookup is very low. I'm speaking anecdotally, but I doubt anyone will disagree: most infidelities happen with someone you know fairly well. T

Am I missing something? Isn't Mechanical Turk the community of real people? Or do you think "we'll also use..." means that they're using something else? I didn't get that gist from the full quote: "After you send us a photo, we'll store it

Disclaimer: I'm a vim guy. When I get awe-struck comments from those looking over my shoulder, it's not about any plugins or IDE-like functionality, it's about how fast I'm editing text. Let's remind ourselves, that's the core function of a
