I agree that the documentation could be better. When I first started working with Angular I had similar issues. However, after spending a decent amount of time working with the framework, I find the documentation fairly clear. The problem i

Those don't even look remotely similar other than the general "flat ui" style.

You seem to regard programming as the act of writing code. I, however, view programming as the act of creating software. And using branches heavily definitely helps me to be better at creating software. Having small feature-specific branche

Generally speaking, you'd use Angular with a backend framework. Angular and other front-end frameworks are great for responding to user interactions extremely quickly, because often you don't have to go back to the server. And i

Typically any "light" font weight is intended to be used at larger sizes, often as part of headings. Using it as the body font will make your text harder to read unless you're using a very large font size.

This is awesome. I've been a happy reader for quite some time now, and I'm glad that even more people will be able to read this excellent book!

Can you comment about your experience using CoffeeScript? Personally, I'd love to see a whole blog post about that. :-)

The same benefit the web apps generally bring: * The ability to play the game without installing anything * The ability to play the game on other peoples computers * Cross-platform accessibility (Windows, OSX, Linux? Doesn't matter.)

Interestingly, the demo video hints that they are using CoffeeScript (see the `./publish.coffee` command in terminal toward the end). Can anyone comment about whether this is actually the case?

I wouldn't try to learn JS from The Good Parts. It is more of a guide to how to write solid JS after you've learned the basics of how it works. Eloquent JavaScript on the other hand, is a great book to actually learn from.

I'm working on a fairly substantial SPA now, and while I think these costs are worth it for my use case, they certainly are real costs and should be carefully considered.
