I'm sorry but that data does not at all square with my experience. I'm seeing 2 days+ as the average and I haven't seen sub-24hrs in months. I oversee ~20 apps and I can tell you iOS review times have been trending upwards fo

I'm afraid you are the one out of date here. App Store Review times have ballooned in the last few months. Marco Arment talked about this publically (on the ATP podcast) about how his app was stuck in review for over 2 weeks IIRC and I

Perhaps. I can absolutely see that being more attractive especially with things like the Duo where, I assume, SwiftUI gives you a number of things "for free". That said, the massive downsides to native are: - App Store Review time

$2K starting price is rough. I’ve upgraded my iPhone every year since my first phone, the 3GS. It’s one of a few “splurge”-type things I allow myself. It’s a hobby and just fun to play with the new hotness. This year might break the cycle.

Didn't see your comment before I posted pretty much the same thing. I wish I could replace all my cables with the Anker Nano ones but they aren't cheap and most places I don't need a "great feeling" cable so I'

It's not silicon but the _best_ (charging only) cables I've used by far are the Anker Nano [0] cables. they are so flexible, feel amazing, and I wish I could replace all my cables with them (but can't due to cost). It's

I'm sure my scale is many magnitudes smaller but as a solo developer/founder I ran into this same issue recently as I've been creating more PRs than normal and also increasing my GH Actions usage for things like LLM review an

My understanding is that the source code itself is not the "goal" as much as a way to recompile the game for other architectures instead of having to use emulation to play the game. Also for modders who want to alter things at a l

I’ve set up literally hundreds of different self-hosted applications over the years on my homelab. I’ve configured the reverse proxy by hand, setup the docker containers, etc. Now I can just tell Claude “Setup XYZ app on my server” and it d

They should really put the video/gif from their repo README on the website somewhere. I clicked around for a while trying to see what it looked like and finally found it on Github.

Not at all my experience. Some apps themselves have ads but I never see ads. My Apple TV is a Plex/YouTube client exclusively where I see 0 ads.

Question for people using GLP-1s: Do you plan to stay on them indefinitely? Are you concerned about gaining back the weight if you ever stop taking them? I've had success with weight loss through diet and exercise (exclusive and inclus

I started to respond saying 25 years was too high but West Wing S02E16 "Somebody's Going to Emergency, Somebody's Going to Jail" aired February 28, 2001... Damn, so it's been _over_ 25 years ago since that the episo

Meanwhile I'm over here refactoring as much as I can from years (or decades) of human-slung code. Turning the mess I either inherited, helped create, or built on top of into something clean and pristine might be my favorite LLM use. Sa

I feel like I must be missing something. The only tool they mention by name is Pocket (which isn't an "Accessibility tool" as much as it had a way to turn an article to audio). But I don't follow how new accessibility to

The title of this article implies they changed it before being forced/asked. As stupid as the whole thing is, the executive order was signed. This article is just about how the government’s own maps aren’t updated yet. This wasn’t a ca

Another week, another case of getting jerked around by Anthropic… I’m tired of my $200 subscription changing or threatening to change every 2 weeks or less. Not that I think OpenAI and “resets” is a life I want to live either. I guess we wi

I already said that using a library (open source) is a good idea, I just don't think we need to pretend that Auth is so complicated that we need a third-party provider. I don't buy that argument. You should not roll your own low-l
