Seems to be a large premium for Sydney too :( Still work it for most things!

It happens on Apple TV (previous generation) as well, but it seems to be consistent and it will do it after about 2 hours.

You used to be able to install Mac OS X on UFS volumes but unfortunately they removed that option in later releases :(

That's where user stories can help: "As a user, I want to store my food and drinks in the refrigerator so they don't spoil" "As a user, I want to store drinks in the refrigerator so I can drink them cold" "

FreeBSD has made leaps and bounds with this. You can use `freebsd-update` to update the OS itself from binaries instead of having to build world. https://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/books/handbook/updating-upg

Put FreeBSD 10.x on it if you want a modern OS with great G5 support.

I have a 2.3GHz dual core PowerMac11,2 running FreeBSD 10.2 PPC64 on a ZFS root. My machine has 8GB of RAM and works brilliantly. I tried all flavours of PPC linux and none of them worked particularly well. FreeBSD 10.x had the advantage of

OpenIndiana will likely stick with the (excellent in my opinion) Solaris SMF.

I sure did and they responded with "blah blah tickets only cover 30% of the cost of public transport". I've noticed the most obnoxious advertising in public seems to be provided by the company "APN".

I would love to ban the audiovisual advertising in some Sydney train stations. You used to be able to avoid the static paper billboards but these days they have giant video screens and very loud speakers spread all around the platform so yo

Thanks for this recommendation - I'm just starting to get in to SDR and GQRX crashes constantly on me :(

I was pleased to see the following on this site: > Currently work is ongoing to build and publish offical FreeBSD packages. Once those are published, these images will use them.

What are some options including countries outside of Europe? New Zealand used to be an option but I wouldn't consider it an option any more.

It says this release (6.3) requires Yosemite (but includes SDKs for 10.9 and 10.10). For the record, 5.x doesn't even run on Snow Leopard.

I'd like to keep 10.6 support in the open source app I help out with but there are so many improvements in 10.7 and 10.8 from a developer point of view that the latest release will be the last to support 10.6 (and 32-bit macs). By impr

I say "olay" but "ess que ell". For me OLE is closer to an actual word (Olé), but SQL is nothing like "sequel".

Not many people seem to use Lion these days though. An app that I work on has less than 6% (of the 13,000 users who have opted in to providing system stats) on Lion.

That is how it works. "It’s worth repeating – Compliance Exports are not retroactive and do not apply to past private conversations before the feature is enabled."

I'm pretty sure they are sandboxed and can't access the network at all. Actually looks like you can set a flag to access the network. https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/Genera...

Almost the same here, except I keep it in a box in the shed. For example I have a Nexus 10 that I never use and I can't be arsed selling it but would happily sell it through eBay valet.

That being said, I don’t think we are going to get OpenBSD on the rpi any time soon. http://marc.info/?l=openbsd-misc&m=132788027403910&w=2

Just beware that there are very few binary ports packages out there. NetBSD CURRENT also supports rpi, but it too has the problem of very few pkgsrc binary packages.

FreeBSD has pretty decent ZFS support. That would be a good reason for a home NAS.
