I'm with you, upvoted for voicing the absurdity of the title. The article, which I refuse to read completely, seems like mediocre pop health science and this website has devolved into giving it, at this point at least 16 hours of front

Quicksort should be the first sort you try on your rando dataset. The native search implementation is nearly always competitive with the best algorithm for your particular lunch. And it can be tweaked to specialize on datasets.

I'm with Schneier on this, it's hard to get worked up about the gov't scraping information an individual publishes publicly. The larger trend is obviously still disturbing.

The first few comments were about the futility of the funding. Weighted shortest path algorithms are regularly used in the freight forwarding space in order to calculate the rates paid for routes. Knowing it off the top of my head is how I

The entire system of institutionalizing your children to teach them to be functional is the root cause, never let whatever self-esteemers or new mathers or whatever goofy next educational horizon the principal learned in their post-doc educ

I had to interview a manager or two as a senior dev and then interviewed countless people for manager, supervisor, and dev jobs as a manager. I think the best thing to focus on is hiring a manager that knows a little bit about the processes

Well, I guess that's true. Given the site is an aggregator for a SF-based incubator I figured a reasonable enough number of people would be a American. I'm also not sure why my comments have anything to do with being an American.

Click bait I'm not clicking on. Advice from an almost-millennial (born 1981) and someone that's hired and fired countless programmers: don't swear at work, it makes you sound stupid. Some days you will swear more than others

I swear a big bang theory rerun about this was on last night. Sheldon detected waves at the north pole, but they were actually a blender turned on by the rest of the gang. He's embarrassed and goes home. Leonard beds Penny. Decent epis

The price-wars between amazon, ms, and google are constant. They always tweak pricing to match the tweaks the other two make. Given this is no change to the norm, i don't see this as a referendum on google's position in the market

The military has been operating outside of the law using executive action attacking citizens of sovereign countries with no declaration of war for a long time. We keep electing weak congressional members that let it happen, and we won'

Who determines who's an enemy combatant? That's always the core issue. We should not trust the man behind the curtain to always tell us who needs to be killed by a drone with no trial.

At this point, I think capitol hill owns them, and would hate to send their lackeys to jail and interrupt what they have encouraged them to do: fleece the plebs to pay massive consultant fees for their insider information about bloated govt
