I don't really understand why programmers go into game development? Is it predominately the ultra low-end of programmers or something? It seems crazy to me that someone would take something like half the pay and way worse treatment

How programmers dress is a fascinating social topic. Do they do it for the comfort? Maybe a little. The shoes yeah. Is it a litmus test for the level of freedom management gives that department? Of course it is. A sizable, well-dressed soft

American grocery stores do. Walmart grocery stores could fit a small town downtown in them. I see your point though. It's interesting to be informed of all of these different needs I had not previously considered.

This sounds really useful. If it's less than 100$, I could see it selling very well outside of a convention. If a future iteration is cheap, light and can be worn below clothes, I could really see this catching on.

It's hard to compete with grocery stores: 1. They're local. Most people have a grocery store within 5 minutes of their house. 2. They're well-stocked. You have ten thousand products to choose from. Who could ask for more? 3.

Get a side-project with someone else who is working on that project full time. This will give you better skills/connections outside of corporate, even if it doesn't pay off immediately. That's what I'm doing. The first t

That's common in government work. It's usually for the purpose of emailing/texting at work and nothing else. I know half a dozen people who have a separate work phone they turn off when they get home.

It is hard to beat suits on the upper high end range in terms of price, but easy on the low to average range. My suit cost me around 150$ though. I have several outfits which are comparable in cost and designed specifically to be informal.

I feel like Haskell gets name dropped a lot more - when you mention something from a C-language you can have a reasonable expectation the other person knows what that thing is.

Definitely. I wouldn't want my car driving in an unsafe manner just to follow local ordinances. I'd be very curious if I could sue those local governments for endangering me if my vehicle is forced to follow their rules and gets i

How connected were the Eastern Romans to the original western ones though? Would you say it's like the U.S. and Britain, more distinct or less?

Man, I need to find that guy's doctor and lawyer. I could start collecting disability checks for my high blood pressure. I'm 24, can run three miles and work 50 hours/week. High blood pressure is not a disability.

I feel bad for people from Tijuana, as they are Californian and American but reside in neither California nor America. The titles come from culturally distinct regions.

IIRC IntelliJ does some things like this: 1. It's a polyglot IDE and open-source. 2. Specialized tools for exporting to multiple languages/DSLs.

We stopped playing last year when grad school started. Sorry. It's not that hard to find a D&D group though - just ask around at your local board game shop and I'm sure you'll be able to find something.

The page you use for crowdfunding is just a front page. It doesn't make sense to have two front pages - it's confusing to the user. Also Kickstarter requires you meet your goal in order to get any money. It would be a shame if you

I've heard consistently that ebola is incapable of becoming a pandemic in first world countries. This is because it lacks the resiliency to survive outside of the human body for long periods of time.

The U.S. fertility rate is 1.880. We are only experiencing a population increase currently because our total population was so much lower 80 years ago. Our fertility rate went below 2.0 in 1994, so we'll see noticeable natural decrease
