Overall, I do agree. Kubernetes represents 10+ years of compressed experience from the exact same folks who designed and implemented Borg and Omega at Google. It's also worth noting that Google is putting 30+ engineers to work full-tim

Abhay, perhaps you can disclose in your biased answer that you are employed by Mesosphere?

Great to see CoreOS launching a supported version of their stack with a push to make Kubernetes easier to consume in the enterprise. IMHO, one should always consider if being opinionated about the fundamentals of a platform is good thing wh

OpenShift is most definitely not built on Mesos. RedHat's plans over time are to integrate with Mesos at a lower level for fine grained resource allocation, but for now Kubernetes is used as the cluster scheduling and orchestrations ru

Interesting that Kubernetes was designed from day one to build distributed applications from containers, including primitives for replication and service discovery as core primitives. Similar things would need to be added through frameworks

Andreessen said on Twitter earlier today that he thinks the BTC price drop is due to inefficient miners selling BTC to fund OPEX and keep operations going. This activity is seen in the hash rate.

This is pretty awesome to see. Mesosphere looks to really be serious about making Mesos a first class distributed citizen in the enterprise. Can't help but think about when Cloudera first launched with the Hadoop brain trust.
