At a first glance, its functionality looks like something that could be implemented through {Grease,Tamper}Monkey script. It provides so much more transparency over the extension model and I wish more folks make use of it.

It doesn't seem to me that apartment rents going up by $n/month when UBI of $n/month rolls out is an impossible proposition, since everyone can afford extra $n. Can you elaborate as to why this wouldn't happen?
