Hi! Over the years, I've tried several of these dock replacement apps. The one that stuck the longest was uBar (which I used with a setup similar to what you have here, emulating a "windows taskbar". I've hit issues with

Anthropic's website is always completely broken for me on Zen (a firefox derivative). I used to think it was an extension, but even without extensions it often just shows blank pages.

I see many people claiming AI art has no value. I could understand opposing it on an ethical basis. I could even understand it if they claimed that it will dull us out or it just isn't good for the brain, sort of like we can say that t

While I agree we don't have any methodologies for this, it's also true that we can just "fail" more often. Code is effectively becoming cheap, which means even bad design decisions can be overturned without prohibitive c

There's such a fascinating divide on this. I am 100% with you. I didn't ever _use_ Sora, but some of it trickled down to me (mostly through Instagram reels). I think it's amazing that we have such great new tools to express o

Note that, while it is a rewrite, it was done so through disassembling the original game, not via a clean room implementation. I find this particularly relevant given that the original was written (mostly) in assembly too.

I like GPT models in Codex, for a fully vibecoded experience (I don't look at code) for my side-projects. In there, they really get the job done: you plan, they say what they'll do, and it shows up done. It's rare I need to p

Exactly this. Couldn't have said it better. Do you feel yourself losing interest, curiosity, "spark"? If so, then maybe worrying is right. If you're just (hyper?)focused on something else, then, congrats! Our amazing new

I can look at this from 2 additional perspectives: - OpenTTD (a game I truly love and have followed since before the 0.3 days) was not born as a clean-room reimplementation of TTD. It started as a disassembly effort, something which is perh

I think I agree with you. I didn't mean to imply that big corps will build faster (or more) -- in fact I said I don't expect them to right now, and I'm not so sure that will change. What I believe is that early prototype deve

That's a very good question. Some metrics I'm watching or considering watching right now: - Amount of leads we're taking in (per unit of time) - Sprint velocity changes (task complexity should stay roughly the same with AI, a

10x is definitely possible at a startup level. I suppose not in a big tech world (seems obvious to me, and it's not like development speed was the bottleneck there either, right?) You can choose not to believe what I say (and I genuine

In my experience, the truly best in class have gone from being 10x engineers to being 100x engineers, assuming they embrace AI. It's incredible to watch. I wouldn't say I'm a 10x-er, but I'm comfortable enough with my ab

It is still the case. In fact, OpenAI's "billing", "usage tracking" and "billing/spending alerts" UX all have terrible UX. They look like completely independent features. For example, you can set aler

I honestly think this is definitely where (at least part of) the industry is heading, yes. This is not to say engineers are getting replaced — but, certainly, they are changing their work. And, sure, maybe _some_ of them are being replaced.

THANK YOU!! This seems like just what I was looking for — amazing!! I hope I have the time to test-run it over the coming days. If this really ups my ante, I'll get the whole team using it at our studio. Looks promising!

Is Claude Code really what makes them money, or is it their models? Both? Neither? Do they believe that owning the harness (Claude Code) itself will lead to significantly more money? I can sort of see that, but I wouldn't think they ar

Excellent talk! I don't really play AoE2 anymore (though I have bought it!), but I can feel the excitement and dedication the author seems to put into his work. I'm sure modern AoE2 players have benefited immensely from it! :)

Have you tried Cursor or VS Code with Github Copilot in agent mode (recently, not 3 or 6 months ago)? I've recently tried a buuuuunch of stuff (including Antigravity and Kiro) and I really, really, could not stomach Antigravity.
