I said it right, psychology is not involved. Thoughts and emotions are emerging properties. But you need to define the basics as what is intelligence, what is thinking. You only do that with philosophy. Philosophy is not only about what to

I like the mix between philosophy, biology and computation. Philosophy tries to describe what is thinking, biology tries to understand how it happens and in computation we try to replicate it.

Infancy? Convolutional neural networks have like 20 years. It is just recently when we were able to use bigger models and more data in GPUs when it becomes something main stream and a lot of people are doing things with it. So it is more li

Can someone explain me why they chose Caffe2 as the name? I think this is a problem for Caffe, as people would see Caffe2 as the newest version of the library, when they are not related (aren't they?) I would have preferred them to cho

Ok, so now we care about the environment and the planet if we can set a price. If we estimate an animal race is worth a $10k we can extinct it. I dislike very much to put a price on things just to be aware we need to protect them. Coral ree

Is there any reason you haven't set a date to complete the project (an MVP)? I think it is a good idea to set a date so you reduce the scope of the project to something feasible and applicants don't spend a lot of time pursuing a

Actually it was only an output neuron, and for me it is the same if you call it cluster or not. It just learnt sentiment without any hint. Now I wonder if they can train it again and get the same sentiment neuron, that would mean something.

My dream was to have something "powerful" for $500-$700. For $10k you can really have something nice. I wouldn't expend that much money right now. I think we are just starting to see the evolution in the hardware for deep lea

only the 1070 is more expensive that the console probably, and it only has 8GB of RAM. The console would have a price around $500-$700 and it will have 12GB of RAM + CPU + HHD. Only a decent GPU with 12GB will cost you more. And that is my

No you don't. Your GPU only has 8GB of DDR5, and only the GPU is more expensive than the complete video console with 12GB of DDR5 + CPU + HHD. And that is my point, the hardware for the price.

kotlin can replace java completely because it compiles to bytecode (as java does). And then it is the bytecode what is compiled/interpreted in the JVM. The tech preview is about kotlin compiling directly to machine code. They already s

kotlin is backed by a tooling company. This is a very strong argument. The ones that are doing the best IDE for java (for a lot of people) are the ones that decided to create kotlin. Swift also has the tooling support of Apple, but I only r
